More complicated and expensive parts, lower production numbers, less aftermarket options, less price competition than the average car. If the other cars you're looking at are similarly rare/complex/highly-tuned (Supra, 3000GT, M3, Corrado) then I think it's one of the better ones to own. But if you're comparing it with other sub-$10k used cars the cost of ownership will definitely be higher (on average).
